What’s up everybody it’s DJ Quarles, the Real Estate Savant. Back again, today we’re gonna talk about how to get into real estate, & actually be successful at it. You know in 2019 there were over 5.5 million houses that were sold for over a trillion dollars. Those are big numbers. 90% of the world’s wealthiest people all invest in real estate, and there’s a reason for that. Although 87% percent of real estate agents, 87%, are in and out within the first two years. With a few simple steps, I’m going to make sure that you’re not in that 87%.

Step One: Find a Mentor

This goes for whatever you want to do, whether you want to be a real estate agent, an investor, any capacity. Find a mentor. Everyone gets in the real estate with lofty goals. Otherwise why would you do it? In order for you to bring your goals into fruition, you have to bring value, and in order to provide value, you have to know what you’re doing. So find a mentor

Step Two: Get your Real Estate License

It’s a fairly simple process. Get online, type in real estate license in whatever state you’re in. A lot of classes either offer it online or you can go to a classroom setting. Whatever you prefer, or reach out to a real estate agent like myself in whatever city you’re in, and get started.

Step Three: Put Together a List

They call it a Sphere of Influence. These are the people that you know from church, from work, that you played sports with. This should be enjoyable. People that you want to talk to. People that will go to bat for you. Reach out, let them know that you’re going to be getting into real estate, and then think, sit down and think. How can I provide value to them?

Step Four: Now you get to let that Imagination start Flowing

Put together your plan. Where do you want to be? Who do you see yourself being one year from now? Three years from now? Even five years from now. Do you want to be a big-time real estate agent who helps a lot of people with buying and selling houses? Do you want to be a big-time real estate investor who helps a lot of people by providing them with a place to live? Or do you want to be a combination of those both? Either way get your plan on paper, visit it often so that you never lose sight of the goal. There’s gonna be a lot of things that start coming on to your plate. You have to be able to prioritize what’s the most important thing. That’s gonna get me to where I want to be five years from now.

Step Five: Time to Execute

You know what you need to do, so JUST DO IT!

Let’s Recap:

Step One: Find a Mentor

Step Two: Get your Real Estate License

Step Three: Put Together a List

Step Four: Now you get to let that Imagination start Flowing

Step Five: Time to Execute

A plan without action is simply dreaming. It’s as simple as that. It’s one of the reasons why I love real estate, because regardless if you are eighteen or forty-five, you can get started. I know that getting into real estate changed my life, and I just hope that it does the same for someone else. Whether you’re tired of going to your job, or still lost. My hope is that this offers you another route.
